 Title

The I.T.A is an organisation which represents the I.T.F within in the United Kingdom. Inline with the I.T.F regulations it is split into the home countries enabling entry into International Tournaments.

 Mission Statement

As an Internationally recognised association (INO) of the ITF, We offer the smaller groups a partnership scheme. Thus enabling these groups to the benefits that a large association can offer it members in the way of Insurance and Tournaments including a direct link with the National and International governing bodies, while maintaining their independence.

We are committed to providing a service that maintains ITF Taekwon-Do is accessible to as many members of the community as possible.

 

 Governing Bodies

The Association shall aim to comply with the rules and regulations of:

  1. Imperial Taekwon-Do Association (I.T.A)

  2. The International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF)

  3. England ITF / Scotland ITF / Wales ITF / Northern Ireland ITF

Representatives
 


A representative from each partner group must attend all meetings when arranged. All meetings will discuss any issues arising, applications, any International ITF sanctioned competitions, and all training / selection process.

All findings and discussions from any partner meetings will be past to the I.T.A Executive committee for approval and implementation.
 

Partners
 
All groups who have paid relevant fees and subscriptions and are in good standing with the ITF and had their application accepted by the I.T.A Executive committee.
 
Registered Instructor
 
A qualified Instructor under the guidance of their partner group.
 
A Student
 
All students under the guidance of their partner group.
 
Eligibility
 
Any organisation in any location in the UK may apply for membership. The I.T.A executive committee reserves the right to refuse an application at its own discretion.
 
Term of Membership
 
The membership term is one year from January to December.
 
Termination of Membership
 

Where a renewal fee has not been received.

Upon written resignation of a partner group.

The I.T.A executive committee shall have the right to suspend or terminate the membership of a partner group on the grounds that it has been proven not to have followed the rules and regulation laid out in this document and ITF rules & regulations. Also if a partner group has acted to the detriment, or contrary to the interests of all other partner groups and/or the ITF.


 

Rights and Duties of Partner Groups

Partner groups are entitled to take part in all ITF activities and to receive all benefits, unless under suspension.

Partner groups shall at all times observe the Rules of Operation which include but not limited to the ITF Rules and Regulations.

An existing or ex-partner shall have no rights whatsoever over funds or intellectual or physical property.

 

Rules and Regulations for all Partner Groups

TO MAINTAIN INDEPENDENCE BUT PROMOTE A GOOD TECHNICAL STANDARD FOR ITF TAEKWON-DO.

ALL PARTNER MEMBERS MAY:

  • Conduct or host colour and black belt seminars for their members.
     

  • Conduct or host their own partner group promotional exams grading for 3rd  Degree and below, dependant on examiners grade as laid out in the ITF rules. 
     

  • Authorise examiners and / or conduct promotion exams for students of Assistant Instructors within their own partner group.
     

  • Conduct or host Instructor seminars within their own partner group.
     

  • Conduct or host domestic partner group Umpire and Referee courses and seminars.

 

ALL PARTNERS MUST GET APPROVAL FROM I.T.A COMMITTEE FOR THE FOLLOWING:
(This will be to the advantage of any partner group to enable a greater attendance and the promotion of working together)

  • To host any ITF sanctioned competitions, seminars, or courses.
     

  • To conduct promotional exams grading for 4th degree or above.

 

ALL PARTNERS MUST:

  • Issue at least an official ITF Dan grade certificate to any successful degree promotion candidate.
     

  • To the best of their ability ensure that all their black belt members are in the possession of an up to date status card.
     

  • Promote a good Public relations etiquette regarding all ITF matters and partners.
     

  • Communicate all disputes with any other partner group to the relevant sub-committee chairman, who in turn will bring all issues to a partner meeting.
